The X-tractor Gene™ is a practical and affordable solution for automated nucleic acid extraction. Compared to other automated platforms it is compact, simpler to use, and provides the highest quality nucleic acid product at the lowest per-extraction price.
Once samples are loaded into an X-tractor Gene, the extraction process is fully automated. We call this “walk away” automation. Contrast this with other automated systems that may require mid-run manual intervention such as external drying, heating, reagent addition, or plate centrifugation.
The X-tractor Gene uses substantially less plastic consumables than any other automated system. For example, only 144 tips (1.5 racks) are used to extract a full plate of 96 samples. This not only keeps costs down, it’s environmentally responsible.
